What is your favorite model to fold?
Just something I was thinking about today...
What is your favorite model to fold?
For example, my favorite is Satoshi Kamiya's Deinonychus. The CP isn't hard, yet it is still fun to fold. I have made about 5 of them, out of almost every paper I have: notebook paper, kami, kraft, and double tissue. This CP is just really fun, and the finished model looks great too, even with notebook paper.
So, what is your favorite model to fold? Note that I am not asking your favorite model; nobody say Ryu Jin, we all know you're probably lying.

I love Lang's Acrocinus Longimanus. I always fold it when I get a new paper, because I think it demonstates well the versitality of the paper. I have made a tissue foil one, a super thin craft one (bad), a tant one (BAD), a copy paper one (REALLY BAD), and an art paper one (SO BAD I ALMOST PASSED OUT).
Another model I like folding is mikillers gabriel. It's pretty cool too.

I'd agreed with AHudson, anything by Komatsu. I was disappointed there was nothing of his in this years Tanteidan. If only he ever got around to finishing his book!
Also some of Roman Diaz's stuff, like his elephant and horse, again for the folding sequence plus the chance to use some liberal shaping at the end.

My favorite model to fold over and over is Fumiaki Kawahata's Yoda... I've folded it so many times now that I've got it memorized (not that astounding of a feat actually, I'm sure people have more complex models memorized) and it's fun to fold for someone who's got a few minutes and wants to know why I think origami is such a cool hobby. Most people have only ever seen a few traditional models and folding them an accurate, color-changed model of Yoda tends to blow their minds while demonstrating that origami has come a long way since those traditional models.
The world's worst photographer now has a flickr account... enjoy!
