Hello

Post by kittycat732 »

Hi I'm a new member to this forum simply because I would like to see and get to know more about origami as I don't quite understand much at my current state. I have made a few complex models but most of the models I have made were rather simple in terms of difficulty. They never needed to be complicated because I made them for my classmates rather than myself. They (my classmates) were probably more interested in origami because they never did know how to make it in the first place. Nowadays, though, since I'm in the seventh grade, most of the astonishment for origami has dissolved because everybody knows how to make one thing or another out of a piece of paper. lol I just study more complicated origami now, as I have become familiar with it a little bit more over the years. Now, before I bore you all wth a never-ending description of who I am, I'll stop. Might as well stop, anyhow. I don't really feel like typing anymore so I'll leave with saying my name won't be revealed for obvious reasons. And, if my writing skills seem obnormal for my age, just know I'm not a 40 year old hacker in disquise. That wouldn't be very good, would it?
~~Thats all for now :3

Welcome on the forum. Feel free to ask whatever you want to know, after all, the forum is not only a meeting place but also a place to get help if needed.

About the models, they do not always need to be astonishing, some of the foldings are a form of art just because of their simplicity. Hell, even Joseph Wu's one fold Stegosaurus is a masterpiece if you grasp the minimalistic approach of it. But no worry, there are enough astonishing models with diagrams on the web, it might take some effort to master them but they are well worth it.

Have fun on the forum and remember, don't be a stranger :).
