I don't think I've ever thrown any of mine away, unless I have several of them. Even when I've folded a model twice, I've kept both of them because the second one is usually not any better than the first, and I like to give them away to people, but I hardly ever fold the same model twice so I don't get many duplicates.

With my nice looking ones that are relatively small, I have a grocery bag that I have in my drawers that I store them in, and in the drawer below it I throw all of my ugly models and the ones that are too simple to be worth showing to people.

My cat loves destroying my origami (& she has some strange obsession with string, ya, ask me about that one, lol).
Sometiems I have picked a project up, then accidently droped & steped on it, crushed & crumbled & to the trash with it. (this has happend more then once, eloquently coordinated).

I throw them all away unless it's a display model I want to keep. Other wise I would have more paper on the floor in my room than clothes, and that's just not right. :p

My friends rarely throw out my origami, I on the other hand always do unless it was actually half decent (rare :P).

Every model that i dont like that much go down the bin. Even ones that i like go down mainly because the origami model population must be in check.

I usually throw out a complex model, half finished, when you just can't do anything to make it look right without it turning into a total mess/ the papers ripped beyond repair/ I'm so pissed off at how it's turning out I don't care/I don't know what else for, but there must be some other reason, but hey, who doesn't do that?

I also had the same problem as Orislater, when I folded Lang's Ruby-throated hummingbird on the schoolbus, and my 'friends' (supposedly) forcefully took it off me, ripped it up, and tossed it out the window. Boy was I mad! :x

Other than that, I keep all my models in about 7 boxes, from the very first thing I folded, to the very latest model, and no-one touches them except me, to be on the safe side, most of the time even I don't look at them, because the minute I looked at my older ones, I'd probably chuck them all out in one go.

Same here. Plus it's kind of embarrassing cause friends will take stuff I leave around thinking it's absolutely amazing while I on the other hand think it's absolute junk.

I teach music lessons out of my home and I have a shelf of origami that the kids are allowed to take if they've done everything they were supposed to for a given week. I have one particular student that has gotten very interested in it. The first thing he does with the ones he takes, unless I forbid him for some reason (such as it was way too much work to be undone or too hard for it to be refolded), is to unfold the model he picked. He tries then to refold it. Sometimes he makes it, other times not.

But I'm sure lots of the things I'm making are getting mashed or lost or thrown out eventually.
