Post by dustink101 »

Whats the very first origami model you made?

If anyone wants to know, mine was the crane in fourth grade. :)

That's a toughy... hmmm. Would you consider a traditional paper airplane or the traditional boat origami? The ones you make like with a letter or A4 size piece of paper. Cause I think I started with the airplane.

But with a square piece it was probably the flapping bird, although for many many many many years I didn't know how to make the bird right; I always made it from a water bomb base. It could have also been the traditional jumping frog, I remember being very little when I learned that one so I'm not totally sure :?.

Anyway, thanks for asking .

No problem and its cool to know peoples first origami model.

If you look back at how/what you made considered to the ones you make right now its a BIG difference. Then you could see how much you've improved!

Hmm for the first time??! It can't be considered as origami but I folded some throwing paper planes from A4 paper, boat and from square this exact steamer. (ok this looks like origami ;))

But for the first time real origami it was origami crane. Really liked that it was action model aswell. I'm 27 now but this was when I was 6-7 years old.

My father brought home some origami book (really basic and easy models) and back then I didn't know that there were other models except those in the book. After some time and with internet avalaibility at our republic I saw some stunning models but I hadn't good paper for them so I stopped folding for a few years. I started folding again 1 year ago from standard copy paper. Got my special paper 6 weeks ago and I'm starting to fold everything I ever want to try. (and that's lot of it)
