Glow in the dark paper?

Hi!

I recently visited a friend who had made some small flowers out of glow in the dark paper.

I really like the idea of the model glowing at night (especially for a flower), but since it was a green glow, it didn't make much sense.

So the question is, is there large pieces of paper that glow in the dark? Are there any other glowing colours besides green? (I'd prefer anything but green at this point e.g red, orange, blue, not yellow, they look to close in colour).

Just the idea of glowing paper makes me excited! the first model i want to make is a rose with stem, it should look like the rose in beauty and the beast

Site above suggests mixing phosphorescent powder with spray starch, and using that to treat paper. I imagine the same could be done with MC. Changing the color may not be an option, since most phosphorescent pigment I've ever seen is that white-yellow-green stuff that's used in more glow in the dark applications.

Gives some hints on what chemicals to look for.

Google and amazon searches yeild suppliers for phosphorescent photo paper suitable for ink jet printers. It's available in 4x6in and 8.5x11in pieces. The 8.5x11 packs I saw were around $7 for three sheets.

Thanks hopefully that or at least something similar is available locally. If not I'd need to buy it online

I didn't find any papers, but here are some sources for multi-color glow in the dark paints. They are expensive, because they are specially made with Zinc or Strontium chemicals. Talk with the manufacturer, because they tend to be thicker, like a paste, and may not work exactly like you want, unless you fold the models and then paint them.

Origami-shop has some fluorescent papers. Only 6 sheets, in 2 colours, so it might be cheaper to make your own, but it'd save some time, effort and (probably) mess.
Shipping and postage to Australia would probably be a lot, too, though. But it's an option. Also, there may be others who are interested.

Who would have thought its so hard to find something so... simple? Probably not much use for this type of paper
