Origami-shop.com : how does it work?

Post by diib »

Multiple posts on this forum refer to Origami-shop.com as being a good source of origami papers. (note: I am in no way affiliated with this shop and this post is not an add ). Presumably many people here have experience with buying paper from Origami-shop and can answer the following questions.

Do the deliverers put the package in your mailbox, or do they ring at your door to deliver it personally? If they put it in your mailbox, do the packages with things like 35x35 cm paper even fit in a mailbox? If they ring at your door, do you have to be home at some given point in time?

Suppose I want to buy some paper as a surprise for someone. Does the package contain sender information such that anyone who sees the package can guess at its contents, or is it truly just a brown box with no further information?

(You can probably guess I have little experience with internet shopping  ).

Welcome on board.

If you get the parcel in your post box or whether the postman rings your door or leaves the parcel at the post station depends on your local postman and the size of the package.
Here you can watch an unpacking video by Sara Adams who received some nice paper from Origami-shop:

The packages are usually plain brown. The receipt is inside.

I might also point out that if they leave it on the doorstep, it's unlikely anyone will steal something from a place called "Origami Shop"
