BluePaper wrote:uh. why does your beetle have 8 legs? ._.

and I see it looks like you've tried to do a little shaping on the horse there. It's not perfect, but at least its a start. what you need to do is continue to shape the form until it matches more with whats shown in the diagrams or in the book. shaping is an important part and shouldn't be just roughly done.

but its good to see that you're making the effort :)
as you can see it's worse than that. There are 10 legs :O

it's not.

also, i found a base with loads of flaps and couldn't decide what to do with them. this is the cause of the ten legs and two antenna :)

ohno you're right it is ten DD:

beetle don't have ten legs, so the base clearly isn't effective with beetles :I

only somewhat effective with king crabs as well (at least in your rendition) because king crabs have larger legs in comparison to the carapace than the model you've shown has :B

How about an isopod?

Your King crab needs claws.

Also, that is not "Horse" by Nicolás Gajardo, but "Breton Horse" by Nicolás Gajardo. His Horse is, ironically, more complex and detailed.

And come on guys, stop accusing him of stealing. Stripes are stripes.

Cardinals don't actually have markings like that. they are completely red save for the one black patch surrounding the beak and on the face and on the neck.

try and use more photo reference when working.

you could probably pass it off as some other type of bird, but those certainly aren't the markings of a cardinal

OH NO! JOSHUA! Don't revert to you previous ways!

Sorry to say but you sort of butchered up that king crab. It's nice you tried toi embellish it but start out small and add more things as you fold it instead of doing all the edits in one fold.
