This diagram should be available in 15-20 days : http://tinyurl.com/py5lja3
Don't forget that if you pre-order the book, you will have a free exclusive diagram !
The release date is advanced to December 16 [/ b]. So if you pre-order the book with a priority postagen you should have the book under your Christmas tree !
For preorder requesting the option ebook, ebook should be available from December 12th (maybe a little earlier if I have time) so that you can fold during the weekend before the release of the book !
I would like to send the diag before the release of the book to be able to focus only on the order that we have to post. But I don't know yet if this will be possible.
So in the worst case, you will have the diag when we post your book. In the best case, we will send it from 12 dec, when I will start to send the ebook pre-order.
I'd like to ask as to the ratio between actual diagrams and crease patterns for this time around. The first 50+ Hours VoG book I felt had a bit of a cop out with 20 hours going toward a Lich King CP with a few zooms ins. There also wasn't any explanation for the Horse in the book in-between the pre-creasing and the base.
While that was only 2 models, crease patterns have their place, yes, but I think it's worth having a lot of explanation or additional info accompanying them in a professional book setting. Especially with the VoG, in which most of what they fold really do require some specialty or otherwise hard to prepare papers to achieve a good resulting fold.
I like being challenged, yes, but that challenge requires some direction before it becomes fruitless and a waste of good paper.
Looking forward to this next try though, the book quality is worth the price alone, just there's always room for improvement.
I'm really pleased to see this level integrity. I too was a bit (just a bit as there's heaps of great folding to be done from VOG#1) disappointed that Quyet's Horse was only partially diagrammed and more recently with Lang's wasp (Origami Masters: Bugs) which has, IMO, been diagrammed only for those also pretty proficient with crease patterns. I can accept that this may be the "only" way to provide any diagrams at all for some models but I like to know what I'm buying and am not a fan of the hybrid approach to diagramming. So thanks Mr Terry and I've preordered
