My first sheet of origamido (chaos black) - what do with it?
I just orderd my first sheet of (very expensive) origamido.
It's in black.
Does anyone have a good idea what to do with it?
I am a huge Kamiya fan and I also like Lang's work, but I don't like his odd-angles/thinning flaps designs a lot...

and do I have to treat the paper with MC first or can I just fold it as it is?

hi merman,
i did robert lang' scorpion (in my flickr) with a sheet of origamido (~40cm) and it went very well
no MC treatment for the folding process, but i used it for the final shaping of the legs and tail.
it took me a long time to choose what to fold ut i don't regret it. this paper is really amazing, specially for complex models.
you can try also kamiya' samurai hlemet beetle in the tanteidan conv 14

I just received my Origamido... It looks and feels amazing.
Are there any specific things I need to take into account when folding with Origamido?
Would Lang's Samurai Helmet Beetle from Insects II be doable with 30cm origamido or would that be too small?
I rather cut up my sheet to smaller squares, but I am not sure if this is a wise thing to do.
Also, I hope I don't make any mistakes cutting it. Unfortunately it does not have straight edges. Anyone can offer me some advice how to make it into a perfect square? Using the existing crease for instance (it was folded in half).

I have succeeded with origamido on Langs tarantula. I do recommend origamido for this model, as the many sinks and unsinks required can rip other, weaker paper.
Folding is everything, and everything is folding

Would Kamiya's Cyclommatus Metalifer with a 25cm (10 inch) piece of origamido work? Or does it not keep shape in the 3D-stage?
And how would you apply MC on it? When you have completed folding? How does the appliance work?
