Colouring Tant?

How well does tant go for changing colour? Be it by tissue or paint?

When I paint paper I just use textile paint. It isen't affected by wet folding and doesnt fall of.

Will they be good for actual painting like on a canvas? I only need to get the edges coloured for this:
