The Ultimate Origami Puzzle

Post by firstfold »

Would you please preview the following video. The puzzle is folded from rectangles and uses no glue.

<embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VvC2NTK27ow&hl=en&fs=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed>

1. Have you seen a similar puzzle either folded
(origami) or otherwise?

2. This is phase one of the puzzle. The next phase will have 16 soultions consisting of phrases, crosswords or character graphics. I need 16 solutions. Each solution could be on a 8 by 8 grid using only the characters on a standard keyboard. Here is a sample:

_ O R I G A M I
_G I V E _ _ _
_ _ P A P E R _
A _ N E W _ _ _
_ _ L O O K _ _
F O L D I N G _
A _ N E W _ _ _
A N G L E _ _ _

Do you have any suggestions I might use for solutions???? I will select from you suggestions and include them in my Phase two puzzle.

There are more phases of this puzzle to come.

Stickjs and Stacks

Here is the beginning of phase two for the Ultimate Origami Puzzle - see if you can figure out what the word phrase is - it is a pun that has something to do with Origami.

The next video will show how this phrase will be inserted into the frame of the puzzle and gives the solution - the video will be coming soon.

Fantastic

Now that the first "Sticks and Stack" phrase is solved, it is time for all to submit your ideas for phrases for this puzzle.

8 lines of text (or typable characters)
8 characters maximum per line (must count spaces)
I'm looking for crosswords, poems, text or pictures made from characters.

Here are some examples:

Hope to see your ideas soon !
