Oh yeah! To make the girls eat their hearts out, have one of Jeremy Shafer's designs- Interlocking Heart Rings or maybe Eight Interlocking Rings! Of course, these are pretty hard, so....
Fold the Diamond heart ring and the two interlocking rings instead, or even easier...
The upside down heart!

Do you know what the "Upside Down Heart" is actually a model of?
Sort of not appropriate as a gift to girls that you don't know very well...

Don't know how skilled you are with folding things from pictures only but Evan Zodl has a really cute lizard that the girls sure would like:

Here is one folded by me some time ago:

It is fairly easy to fold, you just need a 16x16grid with two Elias Stretches on top and bottom, then you bring out the structure in the middle of the paper, shape the legs a bit and you are done. I taught this model with great success at two conventions and everyone loves it. It is also some kind of action model because you can bend it in every direction to play with it.

P.S. Upside down heart by Jeremy Shafer is a representation of a pair of breasts. i.e. don't bother folding it for girls.

Tesselations seem to draw a good reaction-- water-bomb tesselation is good because it's easy and it's fun to play with. I made one at school and girls stole it from me.
