all this said, i'm not sure how much of a "joke" that really was, in the sense that the layout for the cover (even if the phoenix was pasted on) was way too complete looking.

I died when I saw that it was a fake when I went back here and well, I went back to normal.

This dashed my hopes. I was especially saddened since I have been wanting a vol. 2 ever since kamiya published his first.

Let him search...none of the unpublished diagrams are accurate anyway...

And how do you know this?

Too bad the book is not actually coming out. Hopefully he is working on a new book, but something tells me it's not going to be published any time soon...

I know this because every time someone comes on here and asks for help with a step in their Phoenix diagrams or some such, everyone and their mother chimes in to verify the fallacy of the diagrams in all their incarnations ;-) Sorry kids, I like to pay for my books

volume 2 exists. it's actually a simple matter of kamiya hitting the "print" button, sending the resulting pile to gallery origami house, and them publishing it (unless people here are deluding themselves into thinking the book will be predominantly unpublished diagrams). when they decide to do that, like with komatsu's book, is the only real issue.

Indeed Narazeetak, I'm certain you do have some of his published diagrams. Hence the part of my statement that reads "unpublished diagrams".

Of course. Everyone of us always eager to have Kamiya's diagram.

The best source for his diagram (except "Kamiya Satoshi Sakuhinshuu") is only Origami Tanteidan Magazine/Convention.

Will the models in the book is from Origami Tanteidan and unpublished diagram?

When it comes out, i think it's likely to be a selection of (if not all of) his models created since his last book.
