I think it would be nice to sometime see book from:
-Katsua Kyohei
-Hung Cuong Nguyen
-Giang Dinh
-Another book from Quentin Trollip would be nice too

I know the chances of these happening are slim. So what authors would you like to see have books published?

I would like to see a book from Soma Cruz (you can find him on flickr). His work is the most unique thing out there.

I just had a look through his gallery, and I am in awe... He will be the next Eric Joisel.

I would love it if people would fold more models from amateur designers. The designs might not be perfect, but it makes us happy that people actually want to fold our models. That's why i love the Christmas Origami books. I am trying to do a fold through of the book, but each model has such a different diagramming style it is taking longer than i thought. That is why a book i would like would be a collection of models from amateur and less known designers from all over the world. Its a big dream but maybe it will be a reality

Since I really like animals there are a few favourites:
I'm really looking forward too a new book by quentin trollip. After trying to make some goat, gazelle, antilope type models for weeks, I would really like to know how makes them, he has a bunch of different ones. I must say that His models inspire me the most.

Also I would like to see some diagrams for the models of David Llanque, Nicolas Gajardo Henriquez, and Origamico (Richard GAlindo Flores). Please check their flickr accounts.

Soma cruz's models are insanely detailed, maybe not possible to diagram?

I like chesscubers idea of giving amateur designers more possibilities to distribute their diagrams. I know I spend 30 hours on the diagrams for my goat for the origami christmasbook and so far only one person has folded them.

Hmmmmm I would like to see a book by Nguyen hung cuong, or I really wanna see that book by Caubetho

I would love to fold more amateur models (though I'm not wholly sure how we are defining amateur models: models by people with no books or ??). I use a fair number of such models already, but it seems like scouring the web is the general way to find them.

In the case of the Christmas book we non-designer folders don't really have much of a chance to do so.

Also: I would still really love to have a collection of Philip Shen's models. I keep thinking I should try to talk to his surviving heir(s) and see if I could do it as a kickstarter project or something.

Amateurs don't necessarily mean very intermediate or simple designers, It means those people whose models haven't been seen and folded by the world. I never knew about Daniela Carboni's Dragon until i saw Mr Terry's book and now its one of my favourite models. What i want to say is i want more people to fold authors other than Kamiya, Lang, Komatsu, Brian Chan etc. No doubt their models are amazing, but heck give other folders a chance.
Also their should be some way that non designers can see the Christmas book some things in it are really good!

Agreed. I have always been in awe at David Llanque's designs, not to mention that his crease patterns are beautiful as well.As for Nicolas Gajardo, I have not seen many of his designs, but the ones I have seen are quite amazing. I just looked through origamico's flickr, and his designs are amazing as well. Now that Nicolas Terry has made a book of vietnamese designers, he should focus on spanish/South American designers, as there seems to be quite some talent in south America/Spain.

Sihpo Mabona. His stuff is so awesome, I would love diagrams for his tiger, rhino, armadillo, locust, praying mantis, etc. Maybe Nicolas Terry can make this happen? I would buy it in an instant.

Is everything origami? Looks like there is some kirigami involved. Still, AWESOME

Its completely folded I think. And yes I would love a book by Sipho Mabona.
