i am confused what glue should i use. There are two types of glue available, fevicol MR and fevicol SH. In india, PVA is called fevicol. I need to make tissue foil.
Thanks a lot!

I'd say the MR (white adhesive) would be the one to go for, based on that info. I'd imagine the resin will dry hard and somewhat brittle.

i was using SH! Yes,its one of the strongest adhesives and dries extremely hard! I hope MR works. (it is really a pain to dissolve it in water)

Have you tried the white glue often used in schools? (well, they use it in uk schools at least, perhaps where you are too?) It's PVA based and works fine if diluted a little.

my glue stays like chewing gum in water. School glue and fevicol are same here.

I'm not sure if this will work, but try stirring.

What for are you using the glue?
My guess is that to make tissue-foil or double tissue. You need to give more information.

@Froy He said in his first post that he needs it to make tissuefoil.
Mir if it doesn't dissolve when stirring try letting it stay over night. The glue might mix after a day or so. If that doesn't work either it means that the glue isn't water-based and thus not water-reversible which means that it isn't suitable for tf.

My bad.
Forget fancy stuff.Try wheat paste. Go simple. Cheap, easy and works like a charm.

Yes, it is cheap and easy to make but it doesn't adhere well to aluminum foil and even if it would the paper would separate after a while. Also, it's hard to get the perfect water-wheat proportion so it's kind of hard to make right. The best glue for tf, besides the toxic spray adhesive, would probably be PVA glue, the one mir mentioned.

People need to start to get over this already. Want everything to be easy. Put some effort in what you do. I don't try to be rude, I know asking is OK, but I say only ask after you have tried a lot.

@Froy What I wanted to say is that it isn't worth trying to make wheat paste when you can buy PVA glue for cheap.
