I've understood the concept of circle/river packing for a long while but knowing how to add rivers was a discovery I only did recently and I'm still learning. The CP that helped me the most is one of some kangaroo of which I do not know its author so I can't write to her to ask for permission to publish its CP here so what I did was draw only the circles of it in hope that they'll be enough to illustrate my point. My question is how do I draw the rivers on it or is it necessary to have the creases to determine this? I don't think so. I see some circles are separated from others by a distance so I could draw a river there, but where do those rivers run to?
Here are the circles in hope this community can solve my question:
It's a lot easier with the creases. Hinge creases are the most important for determining rivers.
Without the creases I think it can be somewhat arbitrary.

Thanks, I'll try to find the author and ask for her oermission to publish the CP.
