Ambidextrous. I'll do some things right handed, some left handed, and some I can do equally well with both hands.

Sunmaid, why do you suspect that?

No real reason.
Origami people as a group just seem like the type to have a lot of lefties among them.

I'm right handed.
Is it true that you can train the less active side of your brain by regularly doing your dominant hand activities with your indominant hand?
(such as writing, just opening doors, plugging keys etc)

aww, I would have expected more lefties here. it seems to me that those who have the sort of mentality to fold origami seriously are often southpaws...

Right handed...
But I trained my left hand pretty good at some things like writing, also if it is a lot easier with my right hand.
Interestingly enough most right handed folders I know of that tried one handed folding had far better results with their left hand than with their right hand.

Very interesting about the one handed folding.
One would think it would be easier to fold with your dominate hand.
And sort of on the same topic, another intere

Another interesting folding restriction is folding blind.

This is a really good question. I have realised that when I fold something, it mostly looks to the right! Most of my folds look better on the right hand side than the left!
Oh, I'm right handed.

here's a link with a modern view of the subject in general and abstract...
robert anton wilson writings take it to the empirical and observe the actual uses of the hands in connection with the two brain lobes, but i don't have a link ready now. there was a small story about the chessboard pieces expecially interesting.
in my experience i've found that usually my left hand is the one that knows, the right the one that does.
i'm right-handed. and, when folding, the left, who usually "looks around" doing nothing (when i'm not folding, i mean), does indeed most of the work, certainly the precise stuff, while the right hand just provides the necessary stability/firmness/protection etc.etc. to the structure being collapsed.
