Hi!

I've seen on Sasuga some nice books by Masahiro Chatani and would like to know if someone has info on the techniques used, I mean, there's cutting and so on?

Or something else i completely miss?

yeah it seemed so, and from the small pictures the results seem excellent.
i wonder which one of his works is a "must" or if there is one with a more purist sensibility.

Professor Chatani's style is known as "origamic architecture" or OA.

There are several different styles of OA design. Most are made by cutting and folding a single sheet of paper. Those usually open to 90 or 180 degrees. I think most of the "purists" favor this style.

Others involve cutting, folding and gluing a single sheet of paper. A few involve assembling multiple separate pieces. They all fold flat when closed but, may be fully open at 0, 90, 180 or, 360 degrees.
