Hey, i've just received this book. I know that this book contains amazing models. To tell you the truth, i'm afraid to even open his book (i don't know if i'm ready). I read all the topics about his models (Wizard, Ancient Dragon, Bahamut, ect.) and i noticed that these are very difficult models. So... Any advice? Motivation? Thanks

my advice is: throw the book away and buy another version. your version is obviously cursed

yes i kwnow, but reading the posts so many people getting stuck, all the problems folding the models... that what scares me away, witch model is the easyest?

I don't have that much money i think i'll go with the cursed one

I'd say start with the Eagle Ray or Yellow bird, both of those are pretty easy.

Then the Wizard!

what about Bahamut and Ancient Dragon?

Before I did either of the dragons, I skimmed the steps, then read their respective forum topics for tips on the tough steps. I finished both of them fairly easily on my first attempts. None of the models are really "hard", just repetetive and long.

I just did my first and second Ancient Dragon. USE THIN PAPER regardless of how large it is! And strong too, don't want it to get torn on the last page. I had more success with a 60cm square of tracing paper than I did with a 120cm square of thicker craft paper. But 60 cm is about as small paper as I'd recommend, the horns on the head will be extra tricky if you go smaller.

If money is a problem, there are plenty of free folding diagrams on the internet. Brush up on your origami skills a little before tackling the second half of that book!

*edit* Just noticed, this is my 200th post! Given that I generally stay out of the Kitchen Sink area, I think that's a milestone worth celebrating

Kamiya's models are amazing and greatest. You and I are the Fans of Satoshi Kamiya. My advice: please fold them as soon as possible! And post your pictures about them here!

I think i need to be prepared before starting to fold Kamiya's, i need to buy paper (fortunatly there are three paper stores in my city), i need to clear some space for folding, and most important i need to study the diagrams and prepare myself mentally

Definetly fold Bahamut first. They are both around the same difficulty level, but there is one step near the beginning of the Ancient Dragon that if you mess up on, will make the model impossible to complete. Also, Bahamut's head and feet are easier.

Actually I would say that the Ancient Dragon is easier than the Bahamut. I folded some very nice Ancient Dragons, but I never got a good looking Bahamut, even after several attempts...

what paper size do you recomend for my first attempt? I have 70x70 cm square of kraft paper, would it be ok for my first Bahamut?
