Hi all, which origami (not modular plz) u consider to be most beautiful from those, that does not requires 1x1m paper Mine is rose by martin wall.
(I think it's rare, so if you can not find, ask and i'll post instructions.)
And if you can please post instructions.

PS. All levels are welcome but i'd like to see somethink from hard ones.

(would be nice if it's one collor paper ^^)

I think mine would be Ryu-Zin 3.5, Phoenix 3.5, Nguyen Hung Cuong's Eagle or Michael Lafosse' Alexander Swallowtail Butterfly.

I like the Ryujins and all, but I thought the piece should be preferably less than 1m by 1m. My faves are Brian Chian's pieces, like his Ironman, Wall-E, Rozen Maiden, Kraken, scolupendara and mens at manus.

I also really like Michael LaFosse's mantis (how did he get it so elegant???), Akira Yoshizawa's gorrila, all of Eric Joisel's figures and all of Giang Dinh's figures, I can't choose which. I also like Nguyen Hung Cuong's buffalo alot. (The one on his flickr, not the other one). Robert J Lang also has some very nice birds also (especially the night-hunter).

In my opinion the supreme technical skill of people like Satoshi Kamiya and Robert J Lang and so on is astounding. But I think that Ryu Zin is over detailed and over done, as are many other super complex models.

I do think complexity is necessary to get the defining features of a creature (a grasshopper with 4 legs?? Wut??), but one shouldn't go overboard with the indistinct features.

Please don't take offence, I know many of you love Satoshi Kamiya, this is just my opinion

@legionzilla-Not to burst your bubble-Brian Chan is an excellent designer and folder-but some of the models you mentioned use paper of similar size of that needed for Ryuzin. Rozen Maiden (Suigintou), Mens et Manus, and quite probably the Kraken and Scutigera centipede as well (I assume this is what you were referring to) use paper that is at least 1 meter to a side. I have to agree that the most beautiful origamis i know are giang dinh's, followed by quentin trollip. Thats in order of beautifullness. there could be another categories, like order of coolness (?), order of interestingess, etc, etc etc
