Fingers from the centref the paper

Post by legionzilla »

I have recently madee up my mind to add fingers and toes to every model I make. So, I learnt how to make them after reading Shafer's book. However, after a while, I realised that makin fingers from the edge and points points of the paper were limited.

Satoshi Kamiya's dragon and Wizard do make use of the centre of the paper to make fingers, however, I have failed in making them.

I have made fingers from the center of the paper before, but the folding process seems awkward and I've flipped trough the diagrams of Kamiya's book and his folding process is different.

Help please?

Legionzilla, maybe you should wait until you have better paper before trying this. When making fingers from the center of the paper, the layers will get quite thick, and it is hard to shape if you don't have the right paper.

I agree with Ted, (or Ben? :? ) getting better paper first will help. But if you have problems adding the fingers/toes to the CP, you could make one and show where you want them. I don't exactly know your problem.

Thanks for your advice, Ben and Topsu.

As a matter of fact, I already make fingers from centre of paper, just that that method seems wrong. I will take a photo of what I did.
