Hy I am new but have been browsing the site a lot, I see a lot of diagrams and i have no Idea which ones I can or cannot do.
So I was wondering if you guys(or girls) could give me a list of a few diagrams to do from easiest to hardest so maybe I could work out my level if you know what I mean.

(Also I can do satoshi's chocobo and eagle ray but not his splash swan or montrolls stegasaur)

well, here is a list of over 300 diagrams, and you can display simple, intermediate and complex diagrams separately.

I don't think you need to ''know'' how good you are, just keep improving without sticking to any skill levels.
Satoshi's chocobo is already quite good, you might just be missing some folding methods (or good paper!) if you can't fold the splash or the stegosaurus.

the possibility of success in folding a model also depends on how much you'd like to finish it. there are a couple of points that influences all this, the diagram quality, the talent of the author to teach, the chosen paper. its really hard to give a folding skill level, just try out.

That is very true, thanks but I just lose morale when I keep getting stuck on the same folds, where it is the opposite when I complete the model, except I feel that I am at a weird level inbetween simple and advanced and there are no diagrams out there that help me advance.
(or none that I want to do )

Actually I'll put it in a different way, where did you go and what did you do to get where you are now, like any specific site or book that helped you, or even model

The site that was linked to by topsu is where I first really started folding. I found it because I searched origami diagrams. It was the first or second result. I folded a lot from that site until I finally started being able to fold the complex stuff.

After I had folded all I wanted to from that site I joined this forum and found some nice books.

Haha, I remember trying to fold the wasp from that site and always got stuck in the part where you had to pull out some paper from inside. I just couldn't do it!

A while ago I tried it but my paper was a4 45gsm and it just ripped when I forced creases, so I gave up, may try again

Bad memories flood my mind. Trying to fold that Wasp was one of my goals, I eventually gave up though (too many trees were losing their lives because of me).

That was before I gained more skill and better paper. I will definitely be trying that model again.
