huge origami paper

Post by Bufo_periglenes »

Huge sheets of origami paper (say, a yard on a side—or larger): What do you use? How do you find it?

I'm particularly curious about large sheets of Japanese foil paper. It seems like one ought to be able to find "parent sheets" or "parent rolls" (I think that's the word) of it somewhere, but I've had no luck.

(Postscript I tried searching the forum for this topic, but I couldn't find it. If it is somewhere already, I'm sorry for re-starting it here.)

Thanks in advance!

From what i have gathered so far, for "larger" sheets of paper u need to make your own (e.g tissue foil or double tissue - guides are somewhere on the forum)
Biggest paper specifically for origami i have found is 12x12 inches, although i am about to start cutting squares from A3 paper :)

As for the foil paper, i have alot of 6x6 inch squares but I have seen 12x12 inch. Also i think u can tape them together from what someone said on the IRC chat.
