I have some I want to send as presents to friends, so I thought I'd ask. What have you tried that works? What have you tried that hasn't worked?

Flat models work well
Three-dimensional models may also work, but keep the following in mind:
* use strong paper, and wetfold if possible
* use lots of packing peanuts
* Don't use very much methylcellulose, as humidity will wreck your shaping. White glue can be used in some cases, if you dilute it with water.

I usually send my models in a package two times bigger than the model, padding it with kleenex-like stuff. always worked well. shake the package after closing it to make sure the model isn't moving inside.

same here. 2d models are fine in a ziploc bag in a padded box

but be careful with the 3d

Sealing in a plastic bag and inserting some silica packets goes a long way toward avoiding any humidity problems.
thank you
