What paper do you usually get from origami shop

i've gotten all of them at point or another (save for the tissue), but again it beggars the question--what exactly are you trying to do?

for instance, the 35 cm foil he sells is a very good medium to practice complex models.

depending on the model, however, (the ancient dragon, for instance), i might suggest kami as a better practice medium. while you can certainly buy kami from origami shop, if you live stateside, there are probably cheaper options.

i've been folding some models from tant recently for gift purposes, and finishing with wet techniques, and have generally been satisfied.

so again, what exactly are you trying to do?

I recommend that you go to the Shop and ask Nicholas for his suggestions.

But I think that his "35cm Deluxe Washi" has some very nice properties. I have the brown on gold foil.

But it depends on what you plan to fold.

hence why i kept asking what exactly he was planning to fold ;).

obviously, if money is no object, one should snatch up as much origamido as possible.

but that's a terrible choice to practice stuff on (unless money truly IS no object).

Ah right, the deluxe washi. That is the most expensive paper there. As a paper it is incredible. Definitely depends what you want to fold, but that paper is absolutely gorgeous.

Man, I should have ordered a piece with my Kamiya book. Maybe I'll remember next time.

I think the tissue foil paper is really recommendable. Other papers I would take if I didn't already have them are the precut Japanese foil and the rolls of foilpaper, some large duo coloured kami and Tant, Deluxe Washi and a 500 sheet box of kami (the blue box).

But why not buy a discovery pack and find out what you like?

Buy the tant and the tissue foil, both are great papers! If u are willing to spend more, buy the deluxe washi.

you could always make your own tissue foil and double tissue
