Is this the kind of paper people are using when they say thin kraft?

I've tried twice to buy kraft paper now. The first roll was thick brown paper sack type stuff. The second roll, which I bought at Michaels, was a little thinner but still to thick for complex models without using huge sheets.

In another thread, a poster said 28gsm stuff was available on origami-shop.com, but it's either not anymore or I can't find it.

as i've said before, kraft is a highly heterogeneous product. i would consider it a brand name, not a name for one kind of paper, so it is therefore a highly heterogeneous product. some people swear by kraft and others here have the same problems as you. every time you buy it you are taking a "leap of faith," as it were.

I guess what I was getting at was, for the people who do like, is this similar to what they are buying? Otherwise, it's cheap enough so I think I'll take that "leap of faith." Thanks

the problem is that it is very difficult to "know" if the kraft you linked is exactly the same as the one someone has had a good result with. for instance, in one thread, someone asked if a particular roll was good, linked it, artur berniecki said it would be fine, but someone had bought that same roll said it was too thick. between language barriers and inability to "test fold" a corner, it is hard to know over the internet. that said, if you look in the various threads, people have posted links to amazon on rolls they have had success with.
