Honestly, I just leave my inkscape files as they are. You can export them as an image and drag them into microsoft word, or another word processor. I've never really converted them into pdfs before. My only guesses would be that you need to download a program to convert it, or it lets you on the settings of inkscape. Sorry I couldn't help anymore, I've never made my inkscape files into pdfs.

Hi,
I downloaded pdfsam for my recent diagrams of the simple dragon. Here's a link to a site: http://sourceforge.net/projects/pdfsam/. This program is great for merging documents already in pdf format for multiple pages.

That said, if you don't need to merge the documents you can actually convert to pdf directly from inkscape. All you need to do is click 'save as' and chose the 'portable document format (pdf)' option. I tried downloading other conversion software before I figured that out and ALL of them blurred the images.

I use pdftk to merge the single page pdfs.
