If I may, I would like to encourage everyone to keep the people of Japan in mind during their crisis of unparalled tragedy.
What can we do ?
One possibility is to donate money via Red Cross , throughout the world.
Be on the lookout for other avenues that are sure to be offered via tv and the web in the near future.
We, of the origami community, owe a tremendous debt to Japan for our " hobby ".
Hopefully, we can stand up to show our support !

I need your help!
Me and a Japanese friend decided to send a message of "Kimochi" to the displaced by the earthquake in Japan, more than ever people need to know and above all feel the closeness of the rest of the world at this time.
We thought of the Senbatsuru. More information on the location in the following site
http://1000gru.wordpress.com/idea/.
I invite you to participate and share it on your site / blog or facebook. A warm embrace and expect your crane!

I can tell you that the people at JOAS are well. I ordered a normal subscription to JOAS two days after the Earthquake and received magazines 121-126 yesterday in Montreal, CND.
FAAAAST.
Soo fast that it makes me believe there is a person whose sole job it is to stare at a computer, wait for subscriptions, then immediately bag the appropriate books and send them down a chute as soon as payment is received.
Hopefully everyone's family is alright.

That's good news! I ordered the membership one day before the earthquake. Hopefully they get here soon. It'd be a bummer if they were lost in the earthquake or flooding. That probably didn't happen, though. If they are based in Tokyo, then they must have shipped it through there, too. Would it be by plane or ship I wonder.

I hope the people of Japan can fix their country and get well again. I just want to know, did anyone get the new tanteidan magazine 126 yet?

I haven't received my copy and it would normally have arrived by now. I'm not trying to be impatient, I know the people of Japan are going through a hard time now.

Hello AK827 and Timoris! Tell how to make the order of magazines "Tanteidan", what cost and in what countries send parcels? Still I know, what there are special editions of magazines how to order them?

You can order the magazines on the JOAS origami page. Just go to subscription/membership to subscribe to the current volumes. You can also purchase back numbers. I think they are around $50 or $60 for a volume/ 6 magazines. I don't know about the special editions, I think you have to be a member.
