Ways to show origami

I just wanted to know if you know professional or at least decent ways to show origami pieces in an exhibition using accesories for example:

Something I haven't done before but should have is always take photos with a background of textured washi or fibrous paper. If the model stands by itself, mount it on a box or something (like this). If not, hold it up with one of those thingies like in the last photo in your post. You can see that Kamiya has exploited all of these to great effect.

Wire is also used many times to hold a model up. See a very interesting way to use wire here:

If the model is made from paper that is too thin, wire can be inserted into the model through an open flap/edge, and it will make shaping much easier.

I had the idea of displaying my tessellations in between two sheets of acrylic and using a wood base, but even though I bought the thickest acrylic, it doesn't stay stiff but bends with the smallest wind caused by a person walking by.

Brimstone, that looks great.
Thin strips of wood around the edges will round it off nice and prevent the bending. Also prevent dust collecting inside.
