Elephant looks great, qtrollip! Very sturdy looking body too. I like the inclusion of the eyes on the side of the head. I think that may be the first time I've seen eyes represented in an origami elephant.

dude! your models are AMAZING! i wish i could fold like that! i love the way your models are so slick and crisp.

Just a quick question, what is dry wet-folding? is that when you only dampen certain parts when you fold?

keep up the good work man! your a great inspiration to me!

Floopate, I fold most of my models dry and then spray them lightly with water after they are folded, just to keep the shape better. I call that dry-wet folding, but I may be wrong about the term.

oh, i have to say that climbing is my other love too! i love climbing. not much one can climb here though. but it still is and always will be one of my loves. hehe!

Momentarily off topic , of course, but yeah, friction/free climbing and mountain climbing ( Whitney & Orizaba) were great, but alas, the only mountains that I am relegated to conquer these days are on paper.
Such flow the sands of time....

African Elephant
Designed and folded from an uncut square.
Same as before, but changed the base of the tusks and also the trunk is trumpeting. I found this nice textured paper-and it was the right colour!
The tusks are colour-changed.
