OrigamiTourist2010 Gallery -- Spinning Origami

				Hello. This is my first post under my new, more relevant name. I have a previous post where I was looking for help/information about folding Chris Palmer's Hat Tent, or actually, an evolution thereof that spins, that I saw on the film 'Between the Folds'.
Here's the latest octagonal spinner that goes for 20 seconds:

I first started with Jeremy Shafer's Iso-Area Flasher [PDF] and have evolved a few patterns from there. This first post is a video of what I would call a square flasher-spinner since if opens and closes like a flasher and it then spins. This is the first of a series of works in progress. I also have an octagonal version of this that I will post at a later date. I am now working on a hexagonal version which is more like the one in the above-mentioned film. I hope you will enjoy this.
