				[originally: some folds by garrasdecaiman]
I'm having a terrible time uploading pictures but after some weeks trying I finally got some upload bandwith and wanted to share some of my reproductions of origami models.
For the time being here are some pictures I could upload!
My photography skills are at best inadequate but I hope you can see the models decently,
Mr Lang's periodical cicada
Mr Kamiya's unicorn
Mr Lang's deepwater sea angler
Mr Engle's octopus
a test fold of Jason Ku's shrimp, Kamiya's cicada nymph and two practice models by me
a pair of Mr. Meguro's sea urchins
hope it's all right that I have opened this thread if there is any problem let me know!

the cicada, unicorn, octopus and sea angler are made with a washi that's very soft and fluffy but I coat it with a weak wheatpaste as a binder (I can't seem to get my hands on MC) the paper turns out pretty well, they are all dry folded without any wet folding since I've been too lazy to wet fold, the urchins are bond paper and the smaller one is glassine.
Here are some photos of the dark ritual involved in coating the paper with the wheatpaste.

I'm using the candles because I didn't have electricity those days
And here is a yoda from Mr Kawahata which my sister just had to paint with green, the paper was from a store with the front painted blue
Finally today's work, also by Mr Kawahata a pegasus with the same type of paper.
glad to see some comments!
thank you

I buy it from a specialty paper store here in xalapa, it's some long threaded paper that they sell for invitations and scrapbooking and the like, I'll post a picture of the untreated paper. I don't think it's too difficult to get, and it's cheap too, I buy it for 6 pesos a ply which comes up to like 40 cents of a dollar!, if you like I can try to send you some if you pay the shipping.
But I'm pretty sure you can get it somwhere closer.
hope this helps.
