Folded from one uncut 16-gon of tissue foil.

I saw a ton of these horses when I went to the Rose Parade. They're stunning!

Looks good so far, but don't be afraid to try something with more intricate color changes, I've always been a fan of stuff like that
Another excellent example of a model with color changes is Miyamoto Chuya's clown.
