This month challenge : Life-Size object

Sorry for late post,
However, this month the topic would be a life-size object

Must be a real life-size object, not a miniature of an object.
Criteria:
Designed from a square sheet of paper
MC accepted
Cutting is not accepted
Multiple paper is accepted (must be square)

yellerdude is the judge.

probably nothing to win with but at least a start into this challenge:

my interpretation of the bonnet mascot of a certain czech automobile producer. it was used around the 1930s and it's quite hard to get a real one these days. so my model may not have the lifesize and still i havn't designed a proper stand for it, but hopefully you'll recognize what it is ...

folded from a green colored rectangle (2:1) and two small white squares. if i'll manage to fold a pretty stand i'll go and post another picture with the model placed on my car.

The logo of Skoda! Nice idea, I recognized it immediately (at the age of 3 I was a huge fan of cars).
I wish I could think of some original ideas (although I think an 8-bit Mario for the previous challenge was a pretty good one). Anyway, I like the design.

I have just the design planned, the only trouble is doing it life-sized. xD

@ myself - thanks for your comment. unfortunately i'm out of the challenge at all with this model. it's folded from a rectangle and this breaks an important rule ...

I don't see how it would. What's a rectangle except a square folded in half?

If you'll excuse the double-post, I have my first entry.

Wow, it's been a while since I've done a challenge.

For this month's challenge I have designed a human skull. When folded from a square whereabouts of 12-14 inches to a side it is life-sized.

That's some good cleavage, Juston. I really like the design.

Yup,I haven't saw anyone folding this one lately so I designed it and folded in real-size.
I'm happy that the model starts with 'bird base', but quite disappointed at the result, I still have some things to change for the better model..

Here's a last minute entry for this month, a Samurai helmet. It's not quite folded to life-size for me (on account of my gigantic head) however. Hopefully that doesn't disqualify it entirely.

I wanted to represent all the major parts of the Samurai helmet including the segmented neck guard that is often neglected in other origami models. It's a fairly adaptable model too as all the parts can be folded in a variety of ways, yielding very different looking helmets. I'm going to try and come up with a few good variations in the coming days/weeks/decades(?) to photograph and upload to show off this aspect of the model.

Holy cow that's a nice model. Hopefully you can provide some clues on the underlying structure? This is one I'd like to try.

Here are the winners for this month's folding challenge!

Third place goes to jeko for the banana. This is a nicely sculpted model. Bananas always have a sort of inexplicable charm.

Second place goes to greencube07 for the tailless whip scorpion. I like the organic shaping of the model.

First place goes to juston for the samurai helmet. Very nice use of curved facets and clean details. An honorable mention to your skull as well. The geometric facets are quite aesthetically pleasing.

Great job everybody who entered!
