I friend gave me this paper, since I thought it was really pretty I decided to take a photo :P.

It's called Kanji Origami No. 6. do you know it? Can you tell me anything about it? That friend bought it in a Swedish shop.

If she takes a photo of my armchair folded in that paper, I'll post it here as well :).

Hope you like it.

I do like that armchair. It's simple, and well shaped. Giang Dinh would be proud of the style.

Hmm, apparently kanji is some type of japanese symbol (like the zodiac i guess) so I think the paper is just kami (depending on the texture and stuff) with the kanji symbols on it. the #6 could just mean the sixth kanji symbol

I also bet it's called kanji because of the symbols. Maybe it's no. 6 because it's six in. tall and wide. But why do you think it's particularly kami?

There might be others, but maybe its just that the manufacturer isn't really of an origami buff so he just made it the staple paper for most intermediate folders

I have a strong feeling that it's a type of washi paper.

No, the kanji for number 6 (roku) is different than the kanji on the shown papers. Unfortunately I can't read kanji except for the numbers so I don't know what the paper says.
