Stuck assembling flower sphere kusudama by erny

I cannot seem to put the thirty umits together properly. I made the set of five snowflakes around the center as in the video but from there on I get lost. When I try to build from the bottom up I just cannot seem to get things right. Unfortunately he does not show the full assembly in the video.


I find its very easy to piece together thirty units when they are flat and facing up but fflipping that over and then trying to shape it into the sphere causes me to have the whole thing come apart.
