Robert Harbin -Frog on Lily Pad

This is my first post to this forum, hello everyone.

I would be please if someone could help me complete the Frog on a Lily Pad in
ORIGAMI 3 by Robert Harbin. I am stuck on page 168 of the book.

On the step that says "crimp" is that just a simple inside reverse fold ?
What is also confusing is that in the upper triangle it is asking to sink in the center line and
repeat on the other side, confused ???????

Also on the following step, it looks like some sort of rabbit ears fold but cannot figure out
what it is trying to ask me to do.

I would be pleased for any assistence in completing this origami model.
