Will Ryu Zin 3.5 ever be diagrammed?

If you want to see a Ryujin masterfully folded by you, it must be the result of a really hard work.

i have no interest in ryu-zin diagrams.

that said, if diagrams were to be made, and anyone folded it, it would by definition be only with hard work. as is outlined in another thread, there are already huge logistic problems with making a square large enough, not to mention having a flat surface large enough to work with it on. probably the average person would spend an inordinate (and frankly unhealthy) amount of time on their hands and knees. then there's the precreasing of a 96x96 grid on such a square, with the paper constantly flopping around. on the whole, it would probably be 1-2 weeks before you got on with the process of actually folding the model.

bethnor - i agree, if satoshi were to diagram anything, i would honestly not choose any of the ryu-zins...

Keep in mind your choice in all this. You decided yourself to set up the task of making a 3.5 when there was very little help out there. Nobody needs to struggle exactly as you did, but how does that change the end result? If somebody wants to make a Ryujin, is willing to work hard on the folding process, why should they be forced to break down the CP themselves if another folder is willing to share help? It's the folder's own ethics that decide how much help they want in understanding it, and how that affects their own sense of accomplishment. People have different goals.

"I can fold it from photo guides or diagrams"
All of these are different achievements. The last one shouldn't be locked away from people just because they haven't got the others. You, Froy, have one of the best-looking 3.5s ever made, but some people might object to your half-CP method. It was your ethical decision. I think half-CP is a great idea, and my next will be done that way. But it's a personal choice and I don't mean to tell people that it's either right or wrong.

Hm...I was thinking the last few days...I think a light version of the diagram should be possible, since most of the steps are repetitive.
If I am not mistaken, I read there are partially some diagrams available somewhere, such as head, legs..bod etc etc...so if we put it into one...it should be a light version of the diagram ...but then...where to start first

did I get it right..there are 2 ways to have the ryu zin 3.5 completed?
1. version: 1 paper
2. version: consist of several parts..and glue them together?!

Not several parts, just 2- an upper & lower half. The crease pattern allows it pretty easily, and the connection between them is covered up by the body scales.
In my own post I said that diagrams for just a foot would be easier to make than diagramming a foot within the actual folding process, but I don't mean that you should make a foot with the intention of gluing it to the rest later.
