More Elbows then Gears

Post by firstfold »

I have a few more diagrams and generalizations for "Elbows", I will be working on this for the next several months. Then I will take on getting information out about how I do the gears !

Firstfold, I hope you are aware that by using an mht file on your homepage, only people using Internet Explorer can view it properly.
So long and keep folding ^_^

Much Thanks !

I wasn't aware that this kind of file had that limitation. I will set up an alternative soon. I appreciate any advise others can give about my website - I have a lot to learn !

Thanks again

Firstfold, you can create PDF files for free with PDFCreator. It sets itself up as a printer and you just print to it, and it saves PDF files. Couldn't be easier. And PDF (Acrobat) files are universal! I have used it with great success for quite some time now. Acrobat costs money and is slow and complicated compared to this software.

Or, you could try making diagrams with Inkscape like I do. It can save as PDF, and then you just have to upload it :D

Inkscape works great too and can save vector PDF files. It's what I used to make the reverse engineered version of the rounded Umulius Rectangulum that Tjips did a while back. But if you've already got all of your formatting in Visio/Word/whatever, you can just print to PDFCreator from Internet Explorer (or whatever) and it will output a PDF with no trouble. It acts like a virtual printer.

PDFCreator

Have you ever used PDFCreator with Power Point Creations. I have a few presentations and one that I go to work once on my web but wasn't able to do it again.

Thanks everyone for all you suggestions ! ! !
