What's box pleating? To make the handbone, I need to box pleat the wrist.

I assume you're folding from the crease pattern. Notice how the crease pattern is made from a bunch of lines at 90 degree angles to each other? That's boxpleating. In other words, you don't have to do anything special once you have the pattern collapsed (besides the typical shaping). It is just letting you know the method used to design/fold it.

Think of it this way: one row is mountain folds, the next is valey, the next is mountain folds, and so on. When you some to the 90 degree angle, the valley or mountain fold turns with it. :D
