Origami Austria -- Four Leaf Clover Help!

Post by FastForward108 »

I'm a first time poster here on the boards, but I've just started trying to fold the Four-leaf clover and I'm having a ton of trouble with steps 5 and 6! The rabbit ear is giving me trouble, and I'm not quite sure what to do about it.

Can anyone give me a little bit of help? I'm a basic/intermediate folder and I'm trying to make a decent shamrock as a present. The only other option I have is, if not complex, pretty time consuming -- though I still might try it.

Thanks in advance for the help!

heres how you fold a rabbit ear. If you already know, it should be easy to fold it, unless you didn't fold step 4 right

I'm pretty sure I got the open sink right. For some reason I can't understand the step 4 folds -- either it's the diagram or my inexperience. Is there something with the open sink I'm not understanding? I'm inverting the top point in on itself.

you could have done a closed sink instead of an open sink (although I would bow in front of you if you've achieved an closed sink in THAT state).
I've take pictures to show you the difference between an open and a closed sink.

open sink:

closed sink:

the rabbit ears can't be done with closed sinks in step 3.
