Marc Vigo Anglada's Beetle

Post by Adam »

Hey there,

I started making this beetle but I don't really understand how I am supposed to fold it at step 10. It's not really a complicated model, but I just can't seem to figure out what I am supposed to do at that step.

Any help would be appreciated. :)

PS, I tried searching before I made this topic, of course. Didnt find any related topics though.

Hmm, I think that the problem is that the vertically oriented folds should be mountain folds, not valley folds. Here's some photos to clarify though.

Make the horizontal fold by pulling as as far as it'll go.

Make the upper diagonal folds by pulling as far as it'll go again. Make the lower ones by folding against the edge of the layer behind it.

Thanks JeossMayhem. I finally got it right. Unfortunately it turned out the paper I used was a bit too small and too thick, so I couldn't fold the legs at the final steps, but I'm gonna give it another go using a larger sheet of paper.

Again, thanks for your help :)
