Model Help/Creation

Post by hobbestheprince »

I was looking into making something like this for origami ... I was hoping that perhaps some of you can make suggestions on what a good base would be. I was thinking of Eric Joisel's dwarf, although the hat is not particularly important for this model ... I have seen him do the mermaid and making hair for the model with the dwarf's hat.

Anyways, here are some pictures I grabbed:

I was thinking the same thing. I'm not really sure where a good place to start would be ... but separate pieces makes the most sense to me.

You can try to adapt some of Halle's work. Some diagrams and a lot of pictures to be found here:

So long and keep folding ^_^

Yeah I was actually looking into Halle's work for inspiration. I think the head would be the most difficult ... the body would be relatively easy and generic.

Well, who says it has to be multicolored? It could be just one or two colors and be very foldable from one sheet. To me it looks like a pretty basic human figure, although human figures are still not easy...

I'm not really picky about color to be honest. If I could even pull something like this off with white paper I would be happy, lol.
