Well, i tried making the ball in the link below, but, i don't know how to rearrange the paper so the colors don't touch each other.
The kind of ball i wanted to make:

but every time i try to make them the colors touch like this:

Please help with colour orientation on modular ball :)

Break it down into smaller units and try making your model in stages, Make five of the three-piece units (the pyramids), then combine them into the five pointed side. Just alternate like in the photo you provided.

Five units come together at each vertex. Of these five, there are always two of one colour, two of another, and three of a third. So if you already have two light green units and two blue units meeting, the last one must be dark green. If you apply that rule at every vertex, and only add units when you are certain they're the right colour, you should be okay.
By the way, I have a secret weapon for working out modular colourings. I get a picture of the solid I want (Google image search is your friend!) showing all the edges and print it out. Then I colour the edges with pencils or whatever to make sure the colouring works. Then you have a handy map to keep you on track when you're assembling!
