I'd suggest stop.
Make test folds before you try the whole thing! It isn't going to collapse itself, you have to know what's going on first! Unless you have much experience with complex crease patterns, slow your butt down.

I have done test folds. I only didn't do the complete arm/leg set.
I don't think you realize how much time I have spent folding. Yes, I have only been folding for a year or two, but that doesn't change what I can fold. This model is a lot easier than I anticipated, but also more time consuming than I anticipated. All I did was miscount, but that doesn't mean I should stop; It means I should persevere! I will fix my error today and continue on, it's not a big deal; it will only make very small, visible extra creases in the end result.
Edit*
Just as an update, I figured out the problem: I miss counted and thought that the ^ at the top of the bottom half was in the center, when it was really shifted to the right one unit. Such a stupid mistake!

Good! Are you doing the 3.5 or 2.1?

I'm doing the 2.1. You know, Starting small. But I need help on the precreasing. How many units up is the rectangle where the scale precreasing starts? I hope you understood me.

On the bottom, there's 1 "extra" unit on the edge, 3 scale units, 1 for the belly and 3 for scales again - so in total 8. On the top there's 2 extra units, so 9 in total

Thank you so much, Jony! And is there 10 units up for the start of the blocks to fan box-pleating's?

I am just checking before I do this, but:

How many units are between the red lines, or are used for the scales?

on the buttom, there's 1.5 for the dorsal scales and 4,5 for each scale section, plus the 1 unit in the middle, so 11,5 in total

I thought so, but it just seemed odd it was not exact, but another half.

Good progress man!

Anyway, quick questions. I am folding the shoulder scales now, then I'm going to collapse it. I assume this is what everyone else did? It is the most sensible way in my opinion. Also, does anyone know how many scales there are in total? I heard something about 1,500.

ryu zin 3.5 has exactly 1156 scales (-48 -||-)
From Kafar. This should answer your question
