I have done the 2.1 with half cp method. I just joined the two fans together after having fully collapsed the model, and used duct tape.

honestly, for the 2.1 there's not really any reason to do the half-cp method, because the CP is pretty straightforward, and you can kinda just fold everything at once.

Quick question though: I'm precreasing my paper, and I'm starting to become a bit worried about whether the paper will wear out too quickly, especially at the leg scales - would it be a good idea to glue a layer of tissue paper on the back, to strengthen it a bit?

Okay, I've collapsed the whole lower base of the dragon. And I'm unsure whether I should start the scales or not. Any suggestions?

doesn't really matter when you do them, but you have to fold them sooner or later! I prefer folding them quite early in the folding process, just to get them out of the way.

The 3.2 I'm doing, I first collapsed the scales before anything else on the bottom half. Once you get the scales done, this model is incredibly simple. Until I did the bottom set of scales, I didn't see how simple it really was! However, the shoulders are still definitely the hardest part. Especially the shoulder scale transitions, I haven't quite figured them out yet.

Yeah, they're called "Reverse Shoulder Transitions". You can ask Daniel for help. I've done it actually.

Shoulder transitions are Lesson 9 of my course, which is intended for experienced folders and those who wish to respect all parts of the design. I'm not distributing the guides out of order, a learner has to start from Lesson 1. As far as JR's case, he has given me no reason to have confidence in his ability.

They're not very pretty, I know. But the paper was a bit small. (80 x 80 cm Kraft)
