what is the arguement? Hugo Pereira states in his diagrams nothing about ears, it says horns. About the shoulder blades, why not? Is someone claiming to be an expert Demonologist?

Hugo, who probably doesn't know Japanese, diagrammed it from Maekawa's crease pattern. He might say horns, but the designer says ears. Who's right, then? Besides, did Hugo get permission to diagram Maekawa's devil? (I don't know the answer to that, but I have my doubts.)

i finally figured out what is wrong with my model. i did the open sinks in the beginning of the model like closed sinks! anyway, here is a pic. of my finished model.

it isn't very good because i am using 8 inch kami paper! i guess i'll try it again with tissue foil. does anybody know what size i should make the paper?

Thank you! Del Taco has some great squares, though this model does deserve more fancy paper.
Your photo is a little fuzzy but the model looks great, especially for the paper you used! I would recomend any size 30cm or over. The larger it is the better chance you have to smooth it out and work on the detail.

Joseph: Thank you very much for the translation for TANAKA Masahiko.
That means to my knowledge there are 4 different diagrammed versions of this model.
It would be interesting to see someone post a finished one of each!

PLEASE help me. about 2 and a half hours ago i decided that i would try this model again with the horns(i think it looks cooler that way.) i spent a good 30 minutes trying to figure out how to fold the horns and ripped the model! i still have the other half of the model to try on. can someone post pics on how to do these steps? i am getting very angry because this is the fourth time i have attempted the horns with no success! please help.

i think i am doing step 47 wrong. when i do the swivel fold in step 48 i don't get the corner triangle shown in step 49.(i hope someone knows what i mean by "corner triangle") i am also having trouble with step 49. i am doing step 47 like a closed sink of the corner. but mostly, i really need help with step 49.

the best i can say is, that for both 47 and 49 I open the model to fold those layers. sorry its not more helpful.

It looks like the only differences are the ears and the head.

Step 47 is just wrapping that layer in front to the behind. Do not sink this corner in any way...
Step 48 is just a swiveling the paper to the left. the edge on the right will have to be manipulated in order to make it look like the picture.
In 49 you will have to pull the paper out and pull it down to make it look like the picture. You do have to untrap a layer of paper in step 49 in order to get it looking like 49. (make a note, this is just the way I have folded this model, doing step 47 differently will affect step 49).

I hope this helps. I am going on a plane trip tommorow so I might fold this model again and take pictures, although, I folded it today......

Kinda blurry, but you should get the idea, just hit the "next" button to cycle through them.
I would post a pick of the finished model (which I thought was the be one I have done) but I lost it somewhere.....

I was flying around a little bit so the airport is a likely place..... oh well.

thanks. i think i tried doing it this way before, but the paper ripped! i feel really dumb now! the pictures helped out a lot.
