I folded one from 6 inch Here
It can probably be done (somewhat easily) from five inch, you might be pushing the envolope at four, three would be an acomplishment...maybe I'll try..

Since I think people will continue having trouble with steps 46 and 47 and the pictures explaining them on this thread are no longer available, I made a video for them:

A little slow
When it comes to origami I am a little slow.
I started this days ago doing a little everyday when my brain is fresh after a good sleeep

Re: Jun Maekawa - Devil (Hugo Pereira)
Ugh I can't get the fingers on one side, Ill have to try again later, and the narrowing/positioning step of the tail was pretty much impossible at this size, but I completed it with 3 steps missing (two steps of reverse folds on the fingers, and the second narrowing of the tail), with 2.7" paper. This is using the Tanteidan 56 diagrams (Komatsu Hideo's diagrams), not Hugo Pereira's, by the way.
Incidentally, I also learned from this journey, that the iPhone can't focus on red objects...at all. :/ Which is why I had my boss (a photographer) take a set of pictures of it for me. He's the length of a dime, height-wise. But faults aside, it doesn't matter, I'm honestly quite proud of this cute little guy just the way he is
No magnification, tweezers were used for a few steps to open stubborn pockets.
