What does this gray part of the CP means?

I have this CP of a Eagle from Hgung, but what does the gray part means?

(if someone has a CP with Mountain and Valley fold marks, could sent to me?)

usually gray parts mean it is not really used.

you should fold it back and fold it like it is part of the rest of sheet - i mean, fold those two layers as it was one.
if the model assumes color changes, you should check on which side the paper is folded back
