Robert Lang - Dragonfly (Origami Insects II)

Hi everyone! I'm new to this forum, been doing origami for about 6 months or so now.
Can someone please explain Steps 36 and 38 for me? I can't understand how to make those hidden sinks, and how the interior ends up after I've done them. Photo diagrams would be much appreciated. : )
